THERE IS A CATEGORY FOR EVERYONE - LET'S SHOUT ABOUT YOUR SCHOOL WHEN YOU WIN A -  “Dance Business Award”

These awards have been designed to recognise excellence, determination, adaptability and courage as a dance business owner. 

The awards are all inclusive no matter what genre, purpose or type of school you own. Simple and quick to enter, inexpensive and everyone is in with a chance of winning. No dance boss will be discounted. If you serve others through dance and the performing arts then you qualify.

There are 13 categories, literally something for everyone no matter how big or small or how established your school is. Imagine being able to shout out to your community that you have won a national award!

If you know you go above and beyond to support and educate your dancers in terms of healthy body and minds then please proudly enter this category.

Maybe you have experts linked to the school, or provide workshops for them separate to their classes, or perhaps a special drop in session for them to come and chat or seek help.

MOST OUTSTANDING SHOW/RECITAL/CONCERT
This award is for those that wish to be recognised for producing an outstanding performance for your students be it a one off piece, a show, a concert or any kind of dance or performing arts based production. You may feel it was outstanding due to the costumes, choreography, stage sets, lighting, venue, concept, quality of dance, creativity, student and parent experience or more.

An example of some of the  documentation you could provide to support your entry:

You may send a link to a short video no longer than 3 minutes that may be one number or a mash up of several, to show various groups. You may include your programme, testimonials, photos, how your students and parents were “wowed” or any other relevant document that may help us to build a picture of your outstanding show.

MOST CREATIVE EARLY YEARS PROGRAMMES
We would like to award this to a school that has developed their own concept for teaching early years classes. Maybe you have a theme or name for your classes, specific uniform, a syllabus, resources, a mascot? You may have licensed it, or have developed it to be taught in outreach schools. If your early years classes stand-out and get noticed for their unique concepts or simply because you created all the content then please feel proud to enter this award.

An example of some of the documentation you could provide to support your entry:
Photos, website pages, examples of class plans, testimonials, short videos (no longer than 3 minutes and must be added as links), class or termly structure and more.

If you have worked hard to develop a school that has encouraged boys into dance, maybe you have boys classes or a boys programme then please enter this award. Let’s celebrate your work and efforts for building your school to include a healthy number of boys.

BEST WEBSITE
If you feel your website does a great job in converting browsers into customers, is well designed and easy to use, is infused with your school's “ethos” and has a strong sense of brand then please go ahead and enter. Your website should be pleasing to the eye, easy to navigate and show the customer exactly what you offer.

We may be celebrating you if you have unusual branding, unique class offerings, collaborations with other enterprises, events that you hold that make you stand out. These are just a few examples.

For this award you may need your team to nominate you. This is for the principal that goes above and beyond to nurture and mentor his/her team.

Written reasons why you should win this award from your team, in the form of testimonials. Examples of what you have done and what strategies you have to support and mentor your team in an ongoing basis, events you may have created, opportunities for their professional development, and more.

This is the big one!
 Remember this is a business award so this is not about who loves their school the most (gosh imagine trying to judge that hey). 
Just some of the qualities we would be looking for:
Great website and easy to sign up process. Amazing customer onboarding (we may even do some secret shopper emails), lovely branding and clear message as to the type of school you have. Student opportunities to experience dance and performing arts in multiple ways, quality of teaching team, principal leadership skills, reviews and testimonials scores, and more.

An example of some of the  documentation you could provide to support your entry:
You can feel free to submit a variety of resources, documents, policies, images, links or video. The more ways you can show us you are an outstanding school the better. This award will not be judged on the size of school, the winner could have just 50 students!
